Ashley Weist is a sixth-generation Wacoan who takes pride in her deep roots in the community and her passion for helping others. Born and raised in Waco, she brings unparalleled local knowledge and a profound appreciation for the city’s vibrant growth, while working to preserve its’ rich history. Her expertise allows her to market properties effectively and connect clients with homes that match their needs, dreams, and lifestyles in the area.

A graduate of Texas A&M University (Class of ’87) with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Finance, Ashley’s career began in the child welfare field, where she dedicated 14 years to assisting children and families. She facilitated the placement and consummation of 26 adoptions—a role that shaped her lifelong commitment to serving others. Since 2005, Ashley has channeled that same dedication into real estate, where her attention to detail, market expertise, and genuine care make her a trusted advisor and advocate for her clients.

Ashley holds several prestigious designations, including ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), GRI (Graduate of the Real Estate Institute), and CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert). She is an active member of the Waco Association of Realtors (WAoR), Texas Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Beyond her professional achievements, Ashley is deeply involved in the Waco community. She serves on the McLennan County Child Welfare Board and is an active member of the Lake Brazos Rotary Club, the Art Center of Waco, and Friends of Cameron Park, as well as continually taking part in Kelly, Realtors Park Cleanups at Lawson’s Point (an adoption made possible via Keep Waco Beautiful and the City of Waco). Other interests, involvement and contributions include work with Habitat for Humanity, Angel Tree, Meals on Wheels, the Rainbow Room, and Packs of Hope. Through these efforts, Ashley strives to uplift and support those around her, reinforcing her strong belief in the power of kindness & community.

Ashley’s family is at the heart of everything she does. Her husband, Tim, recently retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service, including six deployments, and now works with Coulson Aviation, helping to combat wildfires through aerial firefighting. Together, they are proud parents of two remarkable children. Their son Cade, a 2017 Baylor University graduate and muralist who has created over 45 works (and counting!) of public art in Waco, Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, Tennessee, and Hawaii! Their daughter Campbell, a University of Texas graduate with a Master’s in Social Work, lives and works in Austin.

At home, Ashley and her family enjoy life with their rescue pup, Piper, a charming Dachshund-Cocker-Beagle mix adopted from Fuzzy Friends Rescue!

In her free time, Ashley loves exploring architecture and design, traveling, reading, gardening, and discovering new businesses around Waco. She finds joy in live music, spending time near water—whether at lakes, rivers, or her favorite snorkeling spots in St. John—and supporting the arts.
